Corral Drive Elementary’s Patriot Day Celebration

Today was an incredible day at Corral Drive as we came together to honor Patriot Day. Students watched in awe as a Life Flight helicopter landed right on our soccer field — what an unforgettable moment! Students proudly sang patriotic songs, waved flags, and gave out high-fives to the heroes who serve our community every single day.

We are so grateful for our military members, first responders, and community partners who joined us — past and present — to teach our students the importance of service.

Thank you to every firefighter, police officer, EMT, nurse, doctor, military service member, and all who dedicate their lives to keeping us safe. Your service and sacrifice inspire us, and today we were proud to celebrate you!

Corral Drive will be having our annual Patriot Day Celebration on September 11th. We will be honoring our heroes in the Military, local Firefighters, EMS, Police Officers, the Sheriff's Department, and National Forest Service Members. We invite family members who are first responders and military to come so we can honor them during our program. Our program will start at 9am on our soccer field. Parents can park on the East side of the staff parking lot.

Corral Drive is encouraging the kindergarten & 1st grade to wear red, 2nd & 3rd grade to wear white, and 4th & 5th grade to wear blue.

Please call the Corral Drive office if you have any questions.

Hello Families,

As we wrap up the first two weeks of school, I want to share a few important reminders as we head into next week after the three-day weekend:

  • Morning drop-off: Please say your goodbyes and give those last hugs before sending your child onto the playground. We kindly ask that parents stay off the playground area during drop-off so students can smoothly transition into their day. Students should not be dropped off before 7:40 a.m., when playground supervision begins.

  • After school: To help with dismissal, we ask that the playground remain clear until 2:55 p.m. Even if you are with your child, please wait until 2:55 before playing on the playground. This helps prevent distractions that can cause students to miss their bus or make it difficult for rides to find them.

  • After 2:55 p.m.: Families are welcome to enjoy the playground together.

  • Pets: While we love animals, we ask that pets be left at home. Pets can sometimes cause anxiety for students and create distractions for those walking or crossing the street safely. If you do bring a pet, please keep it in your vehicle and away from drop-off and pick-up areas.

Thank you for helping us keep arrival and dismissal safe and smooth for all students!
